Housekeeping Awards

16 December 2019

Now in its 11th year, this event is about recognising and rewarding your team; giving them the thanks they deserve! It is an exciting, fun competition with interactive tasks and some great team building.

It is a team competition with two people on each team and is designed to be fun and educational. The 2020 competition continues the new format introduced last year and now takes place in teams of two across four categories:

  1. Under 50 rooms
  2. 50-99 rooms
  3. 100-149 rooms
  4. 150 rooms and over

All entrants are required to attend the assessment day on 12th February. It is completely free to enter and take part. The assessment day will now be run in two equal-sized groups so your actual assessment time will depend on the number of entrants. You can specify a preference when applying. Finalists will be chosen from this day and a surprise inspection carried out in your premise to determine the winners.

Assessment will include normal housekeeping duties including bed making and final inspections.

The Assessment Day will run as follows:

Assessment Day
Wednesday 12th February 2020
at 9.30 am or 1.00 pm
Europa Hotel Belfast

Entries must be made by Friday 31st January 2020.

The Housekeeping Awards are supported by Tourism Northern Ireland, Bunzl Rafferty Hospitality, Ecolab, Linencare and King Koil.
