Removal of Easter opening restrictions
Until 1st October 2021 there were restrictions on opening hours that affected from Holy Thursday through to Easter Sunday, with a particularly significant effect on Good Friday. Those restrictions have now been removed in their entirety. That means that Easter opening hours are now the same as any other time of the year.
For your hotel, pub, or restaurant licence that will mean 11:30am-11:00pm on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, and 12:30pm-11:00pm on Easter Sunday. If you have an Article 44 Additional Permitted Hours authorisation, you can open until 1:00am on any of those days if permitted, and if you have a new Article 44A Further Additional Permitted Hours authorisation, you can open to 2:00am if permitted.
