Participation in the event is FREE and it is hoped to raise the profile of Ireland in the weeks leading up to St Patricks Day.

Arrival is required the evening beforehand at each of the above locations and the promotion runs from 6am - 7pm. All participants are responsible for their own transport to the venues and their accommodation. Tourism Ireland will be building a stand and organising other activity in line with each stations criterion. The plan is to interact with as many commuters as possible over the course of the promotion and raise the profile of Ireland as a holiday destination.

Each team member will be given a Tourism Ireland Branded Fleece to wear over the course of the promotion and there will be upwards of ten people at each station. Team members will give out branded Tourism Ireland jute carrier bags to passing commuters over the course of the day. These promotional bags will contain literature on Ireland, an offers booklet and an Irish based product.

There is an opportunity for members of the trade team to distribute a very special offer for their own product at each venue.  This offer, a one pager, should be printed on A5 paper, with a trackable booking code - max 500 per Station - and brought with the participant from Ireland and distributed individually by them each day.

Tourism Ireland are investigating local radio press activity for less busy times at the stations and hope to have a media event at each location. All those who take part will have a Tourism Ireland branded fleece and will not require any pop -ups or individual promotional activity with the exception of their A5 Offer.
