NI Tourism Awards 2011

Aspiring tourism winners from across Northern Ireland are under starters orders as the 2011 Northern Ireland Tourism Awards were launched today at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast. Diageo NI are once more the headline sponsors after successful years in 2009 and 2010.

It will be a race to the finishing post as tourism organisations of all sizes are urged to get involved and win recognition for their hard work. This year sees eleven award categories up for grabs as potential entrants are encouraged to submit their applications by the deadline of 28th February. The 33rd awards ceremony sees the introduction of two new categories, 'Tourism Partnership Initiative' and 'New Tourism Project'.

The Northern Ireland Tourism Awards is an opportunity for our ambassadors of the tourism industry to be recognised for their excellence and the important part they play in ensuring that everyone who visits enjoys our unrivalled reputation of being great hosts."
The final shortlist will be published in the spring with final winners announced at a gala ceremony on Thursday 26th May at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, Shaw's Bridge, Belfast.
