Menu planning and design is a key opportunity to reduce the amount of food being thrown away and save money. We would like to invite you to a workshop to consider the link between menu planning and food waste and identify potential saving opportunities.

Time: 9:30am - 4:30pm

Objectives

The purpose of this workshop is to help you understand and identify:

  • The true cost implications of choices made in terms of procurement, and the costs of processing, storing and then disposing of food.
  • Menu planning specialists will help you to will pin point particular hot spots for waste prevention and demonstrate through examples of good practice what can be achieved.

Who is the workshop for?

Any hospitality or food service business (large or small) can attend. Larger businesses may wish to bring more than one representative to get the most value from the event. This may include:

  • menu production and design teams
  • finance/procurement
  • waste management; and
  • marketing.
