The standard was as high as ever and the housekeepers performed brilliantly across the range of four tasks. Standards improve every year and there were no teams that scored very poorly in the bed making. The judges again pointed out that allowing duvets, pillows or linen to land on the floor is not considered good practice, both from a hygiene point of view and also as a trip hazard to the housekeepers.

Each finalist property will receive two free tickets to the Gala Dinner on 11th March in the Hilton Templepatrick. Additional tickets, at a cost of £55 each (inc VAT), can be purchased by contacting Anna in the Federation office on 028 9077 6635 or via anna@nihf.co.uk. All other entrants are encouraged to come along for a fun night out.

Finalist properties will receive a surprise visit by a judge over the next few weeks. They will identify themselves and ask to see a selection of bedrooms and public areas.

The Federation would like to thank all those who came along to the assessment day, the judges who gave their time and to our sponsors: Tourism Northern Ireland, Bunzl Rafferty Hospitality Products, Ecolab, Linencare and King Koil.
