Hotels from throughout NI gathered for the ‘Hotel Restaurant of the Year’ awards dinner at Galgorm Resort & Spa on Monday 28th November 2016.

The Federation would like to thank Stephen's Catering Equipment for supporting this competition. Thank you also to the Food Standards Agency, Flogas, McCabes and Henderson Foodservice for their support.

Following extensive analysis of menus and judging of both cooking and food service, the following hotels have been awarded in three categories:

Best Main Course, category supported by Stephens Catering Equipment

Runner Up: Leigh Thurston, Beech Hill Country House

Winner: Andrew McKee, Lough Erne Resort

Best Dessert, category supported by Food Standards Agency

Runner Up: Andrew McKee, Lough Erne Resort

Winner: Aaron Duffy, Corick House Hotel & Spa

Best Front of House Service, category supported by Stephens Catering Equipment

Runner Up: Ilona Tomczak, Holiday Inn Belfast City Centre

Winner: Lee Brunt, Lough Erne Resort

Following visits by a mystery diner who further assessed the food and dining experience, the following hotels have been awarded:

2nd Runner Up: Bishop's Gate Hotel, Derry

Runner up: Corick House Hotel & Spa

Winner: Lough Erne Resort
