Health, Safety & Fire Regulations

28 March 2011

Are you interested in getting some practical help and support with ensuring your business is legally compliant in areas like health and safety; fire safety; food safety and quality; and environmental legislation?

Several businesses in Northern Ireland have now provided placement opportunities for Environmental Health undergraduates and have realised practical tangible benefits as a result. The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health would like to extend that opportunity to a much wider range of organisations and has arranged a briefing session in April.

University of Ulster at Jordanstown
18th April at 1700 - 1800

There you can find out:
- More about the benefits (including some testimonials from businesses who have done this)
- How you can participate and how the new scheme they are proposing for NI will operate.

There are no charges or costs associated with this scheme. Any financial reward or remuneration to a placement student is entirely at the
organisations discretion (many placements have been unpaid). What is more important for the students is the opportunity to gain experience and learning. You will remain in control of whatever you offer - both the role and its duration (whether it be full time or part time; days, weeks or months).

Those interested should RSVP to Tracey Blair at Email: adminni.cieh.org or Tel: 028 9024 3884.
