Consultation on Alcohol Legislation

The Department of Social Development has launched a consultation on liquor licensing in Northern Ireland. The main proposals include:

  • Late opening hours and opening hours at Easter for public houses.
  • Alignment of alcohol and entertainment licences.
  • Changes to law affecting private members clubs.

The Federation will be submitting a response following consultation with members but individual members are encouraged to submit their own views. The closing date for submissions is 12th November 2012.
