£25,000 Grant List

You may already know that there will be a three month rates holiday for all business ratepayers, excluding public sector and utilities. This means that no rates will be charged for April, May and June 2020. This automatically reduces the 2020-21 annual rate bill for business ratepayers by 25 per cent. This amount does not need to be paid back.

In addition, businesses in the hospitality, tourism and retail sectors are eligible for a £25,000 business support grant for those who pay rates on a property with a rateable value between £15,001 and £51,000.

The Federation has analysed the publicly available valuation list and the following hotels should qualify. The valuation is the lower of the old 2019 NAV or the updated REVAL2020 NAV. Most guest accommodations should also qualify for the grant.

It is important to note that THIS GRANT WILL NOT BE PAID AUTOMATICALLY. Each hotel will need to apply from 20th April when the online form becomes available. You can check the link below from 20th April for more details:
